Designed by Item, principally for providing incremental angular adjustment, the Angle Locking Bracket allows profile to be fastened together at any angle in 2.5 degree increments.

Item has introduced a new ball joint designed to interconnect Line-8 aluminium profiles at any chosen angle.

One of the latest additions to the Item aluminium profile machine construction kit, is the Positioning Set 8 40. At its simplest, this consists of an M6 left-hand stainless steel screw of up to 1m long, which may be located in any Item 8mm T-slot.

New to the Item aluminium profile machine construction kit, is a backing plate for securing flat screens to any Item Line-8 aluminium profile frame. Monitor Adapter 8 VESA 75-100 PA is as the name suggests, capable of securing any monitor which incorporates the industry standard VESA 75 or 100 mounting.

A new and very speedy method for securing chipboard or timber tops onto work bench frames made of Item Line-8 aluminium profiles is now available.

Item GmbH has recently introduced a T-Slot Slider into its Line-8 aluminium machine kit system. The Slider consists of a zinc die-cast body 80mm long and 40mm wide, fitted with free-running plastic inserts. This Slider neatly dovetails into the Item 8mm slot with a surprisingly small amount of play, to give a robust low-friction linear slide in any Line-8 profile. No additional lubrication is required, and the slide can be used under difficult ambient conditions (dust, humidity etc.)

In response to a customer requirement, Item has introduced a new bracket which accommodates a central M16 threaded hole to suit any M16 knuckle foot with an 80mm base diameter.

Machine Building Systems has announced that it will be taking an exhibition stand at Interplas08 (Stand Number D254) with the purpose of showcasing the popular Elcom range of flat-belt conveyors.

Recently introduced aluminium extrusions available from Machine Building Systems now offer even greater possibilities for users of Item's MB Building Kit System.

Item have introduced two new internally-guided belt-driven linear slides which are available in lengths up to 6m long. Based on extruded aluminium profiles of 60x60 and 80x80mm they feature 6mm and 8mm T-slots respectively for attaching additional components or integrating into more complex structures. These slim units have no finger-traps, the only moving part being a carriage plate no wider than the outer section, and the drive belt which covers the slot, effectively sealing it against dirt or dust ingress.

There are several benefits to the new Item transport track. Heavy goods can be transported easily and quietly. The transport track system is tolerant to soiling, easy to assemble and can be added to any profile construction. Elevated transport tracks and suspended constructions (for example, for the manual movement of heavy tools) are also possible.

Item has intruduced new ESD fasteners for its aluminium extrusion based frame building kit, removing the need to spend extra time retro-fitting to pre-assembled frameworks.

A particularly neat looking and easy way of fitting panels into an aluminium frame has been developed recently by Item.

The new Quick Multiblock 8 for the Item aluminium profile machine construction kit offers a very speedy way of securing panels into frames, but allows almost instant access where desired.
