The focus for FLIR at the VTX exhibition will be on both the smart features available and the ease with which its cameras can be integrated into the production process. Historically this has been a relatively time consuming task but now the FLIR A-Series are compatible with the standard protocols GigEVision™ and GeniCam™. This flexibility also allows seamless integration of third party hardware and software.
The latest FLIR A320 will be a main feature at the show and comes with a host of smart features. Using the very simple web-based user interface, the camera can have up to four separate areas set up for a variety of alarm functions. It also allows areas to be masked off to eliminate the risk of false alarms.
This IP addressable camera can be set up to send a message via ftp or email alerts with an attached image, as well as using the more traditional digital i/o to trigger relays and klaxons are required. As is standard with all FLIR 320 x 240 format cameras, temperature measurement is from -20°C to 350°C.
A variety of lens options are also available, all purpose designed and manufactured in-house by FLIR Systems. This allows the camera to be specified for optimum efficiency in a range of applications from health and safety monitoring through to process control.
Also on show at VTX will be the latest offerings for advanced infrared imaging applications from the industry leading supplier. The latest generation of cameras for advanced industrial and scientific imaging – the SC5000 and SC7000 range – will be displayed, with applications ranging from detailed microscopy to high speed imaging in a variety of infrared wavebands that can be carried out with a flexible analysis platform for data presentation and analysis – ALTAIR.
