Specialised Imaging reports on customer feasibility tests published on YouTube using its Kirana ultra high-speed video camera.

The movies show various impact fracture and crush tests performed on ceramic, plexiglass and polycarbonate plates  taken at 5, 2 and 1 million frames per second using the Kirana ultra high speed video camera. The films show the strong potential for exploration of ultra short phenomena of impact fracture and fragmentation using the Kirana ultra high speed video camera.

Incorporating a proprietary hybrid camera sensor, the compact Kirana ultra high speed video camera can deliver high resolution and high speed (up to 5 million frames per second) in a no-compromise design. The full resolution of this video camera is maintained at all speeds.
