The UI-1490LE camera: MILLIONS OF PIXELS: MINIMUM OF SPACE New. Board-level, low-profile 10-megapixel camera from iDS
Added to iDS' line of products is the new 10 megapixel (3840 x 2760 pixels) board-level version of its uEye LE, ultra-compact, USB2, CMOS cameras.

About the camera

Designed around the 10 megapixel, low-energy 1/2 CMOS sensor and tailored to the needs of OEMs and system integrators, the UI-1490LE sets a new standard in compact, low-profile design.

The camera provides a digital input, a digital output, two programmable GPIOs, and an I2C interface on a 36 x 36 mm PCB.

Currently available in colour, a monochrome version is anticipated soon.

Three versions

The board-level cameras are available in three versions:

The version without lens holder fits all camera components, including the USB 2.0 port, into a space of 36 x 36 x 7 mm. The model with S-mount lens connection additionally allows easy use of small M12 optics. The cased camera version offers C or CS mount.

The space-saving design makes the uEye LE board-level cameras ideal for integration into machinery and equipment.

The cameras are shipped with an extensive software development kit packed with demo programs, source code and many drivers and interfaces to allow quick and easy integration.

About the sensor

Offering very low energy consumption and formed around the new 10.6 Megapixel CMOS 1/2 Aptina sensor, the UI-1490LE is capable of providing four times the resolution of HDTV at 3 frames-per-second and up to several 100 frames-per-second in AOI and binning modes. A number of built-in features such as scaling and mirroring are also provided.

If size, energy-economy and functionality are needed, the iDS UI-1490LE is worth investigating.
