Professional Thermal Imaging Cameras ‘Talk’ To Meters
The FLIR P-Series are thermal imaging cameras for expert thermographers and as such they already contain many smart features for swift and effective predictive maintenance tasks and detailed analysis. The latest generation of these high-end models add to this list another unique FLIR feature that was first introduced in the FLIR i60 and FLIR T-Series cameras. This is MeterLink, wireless connection technology that allows the FLIR infrared camera to capture readings from an Extech clamp meter.
The FLIR P-Series camera receives values from a MeterLink-enabled Extech meter via Bluetooth and automatically embeds these readings in the image. This allows, for example, the thermographer to correlate heat and load to make more informed maintenance decisions. It also reduces the potential for a notation error and saves time during reporting.

The new MeterLink feature together with high thermal sensitivity of <30mK, contrast optimisation, built-in GPS and a wide choice of analysis tools puts the FLIR P-Series in a class of its own. The camera also supports the clever Panorama feature, another capability unique to FLIR.

This smart imaging stitching tool enables every pixel to be transferred to a composite image complete with its own radiometric data. So, regardless of the eventual image size, accurate temperature measurement is assured and the enlarged image retains its JPEG format.
