New High Temperature Accelerometer for Drilling Tools

Inertial Aerosystems announce the availability of a new, rugged, high temperature accelerometer with a small diameter that makes it ideal for the latest slimline down hole tools.

Designed primarily for downhole measurement - while - drilling (MWD), it has applications in the gas and oil industries, but can be used in other hostile environments.

Designated the Mini-Q accelerometer, it is manufactured by U.S. based Honeywell and uses the proven Q-Flex etched quartz proof flexible seismic system modified for harsh environments.

The unit has a 20.5 mm diameter with a length of 14.36mm. A triaxial configuration can be fitted into a 25.25 (one inch) tool diameter.

This innovative product has an operating temperature of -40º to + 160ºC (175 deg C

Intermittent), and a shock resistance of >1000g and a vibration tolerance of 30g peak sine 50/500 Hz.

This high quality product has built in calibration and is temperature modelled for optimum performance. Various mounting options are available.
