Unscheduled electrical problems can prove very costly, and the pressure to fix them can be enormous. The new Fluke Rail Portal is designed as a resource for choosing the right Fluke handheld instrument to provide preventative maintenance and rapid troubleshooting. Groupings of tools include multimeters, temperature measurement, power quality and current measurement, as well as insulation and earth measurement. Each group is itemised with links to each instrument’s dedicated web page which provides more information about the tool.
The Multimeter grouping includes the 287/TPWS Datalogging Multimeter which tests the red-signal Train Protection and Warning Systems (TPWS) and meets the requirements of Network Rail with Certificate of Acceptance PA05/03684. The 287/TPWS also operates as a standard product giving the engineer a fully functioned, high specification instrument incorporating advanced data logging and TrendCapture to help track down problems fast. An interface ensures easy data transfer to a PC, on which optional FlukeView Forms software allows users to document, store and analyse readings, and then convert them into meaningful graphs and tables for professional reports.
The Temperature Measurement grouping covers Fluke’s high-performance, but easy-to-use, rugged and affordable, handheld Ti25 and Ti10 Thermal Imagers, as well as point-and-shoot IR thermometers. The Power Quality and Current measurement grouping includes a large selection of current and power quality clamps, as well as the handheld, three-phase Fluke 435 Power Quality Analysers and Fluke 1735 Power Loggers. The final grouping offers a wide range of insulation testers and Earth ground testers.
