Ethernet Direct Corporation announces a recent cooperation with Network Vision Inc., the creator of the popular IntraVUE network management software designed for plant floor to provide a powerful, yet easy to use, network and device visualization tool to the automation industry. The software is also adaptable to multiple applications in which the network availability is important.

During the 2009 Rockwell Automation fair to be held in Anaheim Convention Center Anaheim, California, NVI will be launching the new IntraVUE agent and Ethernet Direct cooperates with NVI to develop IntraVUE agent.

IntraVUE agent is designed to perform local scanning inside a firewalled network and report the data back to an IntraVUE main scanner. For this reason, a reliable and compatible device having two Ethernet ports, one or two USB ports and a Linux operating system is a requisite.

IntraVUE agent interfaces to a IntraVUE Enterprise or Supervisory system.

IntraVUE Agent is a software module that can be loaded into several hardware forms such as: Gateway, Wireless Access Client, Set top Routers (small offices, video security, or retail store application), DVR & NVRs. It is developed to act as agents in order to scan remote networks or LANs which may not have router access and report details to the IntraVUE host computer.
