Compact, economical and easy-to-mount and configure, the new MAC335 Universal Code Reader has been launched by Pepperl+Fuchs. The stationary barcode imager reads the most common 1D and 2D code symbologies without having to change settings. It’s extremely high 1.3MP resolution enables it to accurately and reliably read small and large codes at distances ranging from 20-300mm at three readings per second.

Collaborating on PM2.5 sensing technology is Sensirion and Clarity. Under the agreement, Clarity has licensed the exclusive rights to the development, production and distribution of its optical PM2.5 sensor technology. Clarity’s technology fills the gap in the environmental sensor market for affordable, portable and reliable PM2.5 sensors, and is the perfect addition to Sensirion’s environmental sensing platform.

A new type of alumina sensor has been produced by Morgan Advanced Materials, specially designed for high pressure and high temperature water and sub-metering. The sensor has been specifically developed to withstand extreme temperatures, making it well suited to both heat metering and high temperature fluid metering.

  Contelec has recently announcedVert-X 37MT Hall Effect encoder combines a 16-bit single-turn angle resolution with 16-bit multi-turn count (65536 turns) for unconstrained position feedback, which is now available from Variohm EuroSensor.

Used for part and product traceability, reading product codes to avoid labelling mix-ups, and validating product type, lot and expiration date codes, the Boa Spot ID is supplied with integrated lighting and choices of sensor resolution, lenses and software tools. It can also be used to check that markings and label positions are correct and the presence or absence of features as well as checking assembly history at every stage of manufacturing. 

The Microfused line of M5600 wireless pressure transducers and the UltraStable lineof U5600 wireless pressure transducers are available at Mouser Electronics. These 24-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) pressure and temperature sensors eliminate the need for hard wiring by providing wireless remote process control and monitoring through Bluetooth 4.0 communication.

Released for sale in Europe is Yokogawa Electric’s EJXC40A digital remote sensor, a newly developed DPharp EJX series differential pressure transmitter. Equipped with two pressure sensors that are connected with an electric cable, the EJXC40A measures liquid levels in large tanks and large differential pressure with high-pressure fluids.
