Manufacturer of water pumps and fuel pumps, Airtex, reportedly had a successful exhibition at Automechanika Frankfurt 2018 celebrating the 25th Anniversary of its European brand (1993-2018) which also coincided with the Fair’s 25th anniversary. At Automechanika Frankfurt 2018, Airtex also introduced to both visitors and customers its new brand concept AIRTEX INTERNATIONAL GROUP.

  As the New Year approaches, the first major exhibition in the igus 2019 calendar is Southern Manufacturing & Electronics. Running from 5th to 7th February at FIVE in Farnborough, this exhibition signifies the first opportunity for engineers to get out of the design lab since Christmas.

At the electronica show in Munich taking place this week (Hall B5, Booth 449), TRINAMIC Motion Control is unveiling its new family of motor drives with an embedded RISC-V core, dubbed ‘Rocinante’. Components in the new family combine Trinamic’s decades of experience in embedded motor and motion control together with the flexibility of the open RISC-V ISA microcontroller.

Engineering material and application specialists, Nylacast, made history at the prestigious 2018 British Engineering Excellence Awards, with its low friction marine technology the Chock Liner receiving the accolade for Materials Application of the year. The ten strong judging panel bought in from across the engineering spectrum to scrutinise each finalist, summarised the Chock Liner as being: ‘A classic example of the right material finding the perfect application to create a successful product.’

  Maintec, the UK’s only exhibition dedicated to maintenance, plant and asset management which took place at the NEC, Birmingham, this week and saw a wealth of new technology and service equipment launched for the first time in the UK - live and exclusively from the show floor.

From 27th to 29th November, there will be 1,700 exhibitors at SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg, Germany to present their smart and digital products and solutions. In Hall 5 / Stand 230F 7layers is going to introduce its testing, certification and consulting services in the field of wireless automation and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
