Bulgin's waterproof USB Buccaneer connectors are being employed in many different areas and applications, with one of the most prominent as a data 'downloading' port. In this application the panel connector is not always used with a mating connector, instead a USB Flash drive is connected to input or extract data from the equipment.

DSM is pleased to introduce the ultra-compact VF-90 linear piezoelectric amplifier for space-constrained and OEM applications. The DSC Digital Strain Card, available from Celsum Technologies, is a miniature conditioning amplifier for strain gauge devices. The DSC is connected directly to a computer interface, with RS232, RS485, MODBUS and CAN protocols available. Operating from a 5V DC power supply, the DSC is fully programmable to provide data rates of up to 500 readings a second, resolution to 1 part in 400,000, and baud rates to 230,000. The DSC has on-board calibration and linearization, a programmable dynamic filter, extreme noise immunity, and may be supplied with an optional temperature sensor. The UDIN range are a low-cost range of USB relay, digital I/O units for desk-top, panel or industrial DIN rail mounting.
