DSM is pleased to introduce the ultra-compact VF-90 linear piezoelectric amplifier for space-constrained and OEM applications. The product is a new addition to DSM’s line of voltage follower linear amplifiers and offers several performance features ideal for driving piezoelectric loads in actuators and stages. The VF-90 is a third-party product compatible with National Instruments’ CompactRIO and CompactDAQ modular chassis, thus enabling the use of the amplifier in both open- and closed-loop motion control applications.

Connect Strain Gauge Sensors Directly To A PC or PLC
The DSC Digital Strain Card, available from Celsum Technologies, is a miniature conditioning amplifier for strain gauge devices. The DSC is connected directly to a computer interface, with RS232, RS485, MODBUS and CAN protocols available. Operating from a 5V DC power supply, the DSC is fully programmable to provide data rates of up to 500 readings a second, resolution to 1 part in 400,000, and baud rates to 230,000. The DSC has on-board calibration and linearization, a programmable dynamic filter, extreme noise immunity, and may be supplied with an optional temperature sensor. Easy-connect junction boxes and evaluation kits help assessment and installation. The DSC has a wide range of applications, from R & D through to major aerospace production application.

Celsum Technologies Ltd now supply the revised versions of the popular ICA In-Cell Amplifiers for strain gauges and deviced based on them. The new Industrial (S) and Very High (H) Stability options allow users to tailor their selection of these miniature analogue signal conditioners to their application. The ICA range has output options of 0.1 - 10.1V (ICA1), 0.1 - 5V (ICA2), 0 ± 10V (ICA3), 4 - 20mA (3 wire (ICA4) and 2 wire (ICA5)), and the new ICA6 10V with 15 - 24VDC excitation. There is also an ATEX-approved version, the 2-wire 4-20mA, ICA5A.
