Trend-setting technologies introduced at Energy Decentral

Efficient slurry and digestate processing with „Kumac“
German biogas specialist WELTEC BIOPOWER now offers a proven solution for the processing of slurry and digestate for livestock owners and biogas plant operators. The fully automated processing system „Kumac“ reduces the liquid manure and digestate volume by 50%. In a four-stage procedure, clear water, liquid fertiliser concentrate and valuable solid matter are extracted from the source material.

New digestion plant to be built for egg producer
An anaerobic digestion plant for Colombia‘s largest egg producer, will shortly commence building by WELTEC BIOPOWER. Planned to go live in early 2017, the 800kW biogas, in terms of the feedstock input, the operator Incubadora Santander, which produces about 3.5 million eggs a day, plans to make use of the co-digestion of dry chicken manure from the laying hens and process water from the production.

WELTEC BIOPOWER will present its mature procedures for the efficient utilisation of waste and wastewater for the generation of energy at this year's IFAT from 30 May to 3 June in Munich, Germany. At this industry platform for environment technologies (Hall B3, Stand 205), the German biogas plant manufacturer will show visitors its tried-and-test process technology for the installation and upgrade of anaerobic energy plants.

Weltec Biopower reports two new contracts
In view of the ongoing debate about a new feed-in tariff (FIT) system, the development of renewable energies in the UK is becoming ever more challenging. Thus, most anaerobic digestion plants are currently implemented by experienced companies. After all, quick planning and construction are a must in order to benefit from the calculated FIT. Against this backdrop, the plant manufacturer WELTEC BIOPOWER UK Ltd. from Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, has reported the placement of orders for two new agricultural biogas plant projects in England and Northern Ireland.
