Advanced and precision engineers seeking metal heat treatment and PVD coatings will see a much expanded offering from Wallwork Group on stand Q6 at the Advanced Engineering 2018 show. A new Newcastle facility is now fully integrated into the group. Cambridge has increased vacuum brazing capacity with an additional furnace and gained further Rolls-Royce accreditations. While at Birmingham more Aluminium processing has been added.  

A white paper discussing the application of vacuum brazing is launched by metal thermal processing and hard coatings company, Wallwork Group. Taking additive manufacturing as its reference, it argues that vacuum brazing is a here-and-now additive process that is highly adaptable to meet current challenging technical requirements whilst being totally repeatable, scalable and commercially attractive.

Wallwork Heat Treatment has strengthened its customer support with the promotion of Howard Maher to sales manager and the appointment of Ian Lacey as business development manager. The company is currently experiencing unprecedented growth in business from aerospace, automotive, motor sport, oil and gas, engineering and commercial markets.

The Wallwork Group, is using The Farnborough Airshow to showcase new processes designed to extend the service life and improve performance of critical aerospace components. Amidst fuel price increases and challenges to improve environmental performance of aircraft, the company has developed metal treatments that will achieve substantial in-flight fuel savings, sustained performance between scheduled maintenance and extend service life to reduce life-time costs for operators.
