Combining an IR emitter, photo detectors for proximity, amplifiers, and ADC circuitry into a single package, the Vishay Semiconductors VCNL3040 features a programmable interrupt function.

Free-filament wire strain gauges and ceramic cements, expressly designed for extreme high-temperature environments are now available globally from the Micro-Measurements brand of Vishay Precision Group.  The new free-filament wire strain gauges allow for high-reliability measurements of both dynamic and limited-static strain, at much higher temperatures than have been traditionally possible with conventional bonded strain gauge designs.
