Radan, the world’s most powerful sheet metal CAD/CAM software, has just released its latest edition – 2012R2...along with new laser and tube products. Radbend: A new way of storing face, edge and vertex details, allows data to be repeatedly transferred between Radan and the Radbend press brake software. This will allow Radbend to recognise ‘similarities’ between parts, and automatically re-program known parts.

Within the latest release, support for VISI 19 has been included and the CAD interfaces have been aligned to Parasolid v24, SolidEdge ST4 and Catia v5 r21.

Devon based DeltaCAD Ltd, a start-up company who specialise in CADCAM services has recently collaborated with sub contract tooling maunfacturer Casting Support Systems Ltd on a project to provide a leading Aerospace company with aluminium tooling for a carbon composite seat shell for a major civil airline compnay.

Future Advanced Manufacture Ltd, the largest UK user of Vero's VISI CAD/CAM system has successfully used VISI to produce complex acrylic tool for a turbine blade sealing device for one of the world's leading aerospace suppliers. Although the compnay has been using VISI machining (three, four and five axis) for many years, the recent project required strong CAD tools and support from Vero.

MNB Moulds are a tool maker who specialise in multi-cavity, highly accurate hardened steel tools primarily for the automotive, medical and electrical markets.
