Toumaz Limited, a pioneer in low cost, ultra-low power wireless communications and broadcast technology, has established a new joint venture with Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong’s company California Capital Equity LLC (‘CCE’), to expand the commercialisation and distribution of the Sensium™ Digital Plaster. The joint venture, which is named “Toumaz US LLC”, will be headquartered in San Diego, California, and will sell and distribute the Sensium™ Digital Plaster in North America and Worldwide.

Toumaz, the leading provider of ultra-low power wireless telemetry technologies for medical monitoring and internet-connected consumer devices, today announces the launch of TZ1053 TELRAN – an ultra-low energy (ULE) radio for wireless sensor networks, remote controls, green energy solutions, smart meters, and environmental monitoring. Built on Toumaz’s proprietary AMx™ Mixed Signal technology, the high-performance sub-1GHz radio SoC offers 1V operation using a single button cell battery and consumes less than 3mW continuous use power consumption.

Toumaz, announces the launch of TZ1090 (‘XENIF’) – an advanced 32-bit processor based System-on-Chip (SoC) with integrated broadcast and connectivity that provides a highly competitive, cost-effective solution for advanced cost engineered digital radios, Wi-Fi-connected photo frames and Internet connected consumer devices. This device complements the FENIX DAB+/DAB/FM CMOS RF IC that Toumaz acquired as part of its purchase of Taiwan-based Future Waves in May 2009. The TZ1090 XENIF will be available worldwide as engineering samples at the end of October 2010, with production devices available in Q1 2011.
