An automated advanced cable tester that meets the demanding production test requirements of USB Type-C, HDMI 2.1 and other cables with transfer rates up to 48 Gb/s has been released by Teledyne LeCroy.

The MDA 8000HD Motor Drive Analysers launched today (October 1) by Teledyne LeCroy leverage the WaveRunner 8000HD High Definition Oscilloscope (HDO) platform of eight analogue channels, 12-bit vertical resolution at all times, up to 5 Gigapoints of acquisition memory (1.25 Gigapoints on all eight channels), 10 GS/s sample rate, and bandwidths up to 2GHz.

Teledyne LeCroy has announced the addition of electronic loads and DC power supplies for the electronics test engineering bench to the Teledyne Test Tools (T3) portfolio of test equipment. With these new products, the T3 portfolio is extended with offerings of affordable test equipment that engineers, developers and schools can use to assemble a well-equipped test bench.

The SAM40 provides up to 24 input channels for low frequency (sensor signal) acquisition and analysis. It connects to a 4- or 8- channel Teledyne LeCroy 12-bit resolution high definition oscilloscope (HD4096 HDOs and MDAs) to provide Analogue+Digital+Sensor (up to 8+16+24 channel) acquisitions.

Teledyne LeCroy introduces the WaveRunner 8000 oscilloscopes with bandwidths from 500 MHz to 4 GHz, which deliver an extensive toolbox coupled with a superior user experience to expedite solving debug problems. WaveRunner 8000 has the industry’s widest and deepest collection of tools, making it unbelievably powerful. WaveRunner 8000 marks the debut of the next-generation MAUI advanced user interface, bringing enhancements to the oscilloscope industry’s premier UI. The addition of OneTouch to MAUI makes measurement setup incredibly easy, speeding up dramatically the time to insight into complex signal abnormalities. 

Teledyne LeCroy today announced the addition of Symbolic (Application) layer analysis capabilities to their unique and industry leading CAN and CAN FD serial trigger, decode, measurement, and graphing solutions. Teledyne LeCroy is the only provider of CAN FD measurement and graphing capabilities, and was the first to provide a trigger and decode solution for CAN FD. The new CAN and CAN FD Symbolic analysis packages allow a user-defined .dbc file to be used for Symbolic triggering, decoding, measurements, and graphing of a CAN or CAN FD bus. This creates a more user-friendly environment for CAN developers to work in and removes the need for a manual lookup or conversion from the typical hexadecimal or binary format. All Teledyne LeCroy CAN FD trigger and decode packages support both ISO and non-ISO frames per the ISO 11898-1 standard.

Teledyne LeCroy introduces the CP030A and CP031A high sensitivity current probes. These probes provide sensitivity down to 1 mA/div allowing users to measure current from the mA range up to a continuous current of 30Arms and peak current of 50A all with the same probe. The probes provide a small form factor for today’s crowded boards. The small jaws can probe currents in tight spaces and still clamp onto conductors up to 5 mm in diameter. The CP030A and CP031A feature a bandwidth of 50 MHz and 100 MHz, respectively.
