  Helping manufacturers to avoid costly product modifications and time-to-market delays by identifying non-compliances at an early stage in the design process, TÜV SÜD Product Service has launched its new Electrical Safety Pre-Test Assessment Service.

Approval from TÜV SÜD has been received by Danlaw for an ISO 26262 based Tool Qualification Kit (TQK) for Mx-Suite. Danlaw collaborated with CertTech, LLC, to develop the TQK. The Kit generates the artifacts necessary to demonstrate compliance to ISO 26262, thus significantly reducing qualification cost and effort for embedded developers.

The Mechatrolink Members Association (MMA) announced that its Mechatrolink motion control network meets industry safety standards. Certification was received after an independent third party, TÜV Rheinland, confirmed that these specifications satisfied the requirements of IEC61508 safety integrity level SIL3

Visitors to the PPMA Show 2011 will have the opportunity to attend a free legislation update from machinery safety specialists, Laidler Associates, a division of TÜV SÜD Product Service, which will highlight the impact the Machinery Directive has already had and will continue to have on machine manufacturers and end-users.

Motivated by significant changes to the Machinery Directive Safety Systems Technology has set up a bespoke service to design, manufacture and install machinery guarding, ensuring that machine manufacturers and users are compliant with the changes that have recently come into force.

TÜV Product Service Ltd, a UK subsidiary of the TÜV SÜD group, has acquired the shares of the Laidler group of companies, the UK’s leading machinery safety compliance organisation. Operating from offices in Cleveland and Yorkshire, the Laidler group has consolidated sales of £2.6 million and 30 employees.
