Another finalist of the Subcon launchpad awards is ES Precision, a provider of laser processing services for marking, engraving and surface/thin material processing. This is the first year the launchpad awards will take place at the Subcon show and six engineering and manufacturing startups have made the final to try and impress and win a lump sum of money plus a stand at Subcon 2020.

Subcon is introducing the Launchpad and Launchpad Awards to this year’s event, this is to propel start-ups in the engineering and manufacturing industry by giving them a platform to share their innovations with thousands of engineering and manufacturing professionals with the power to influence and guide them to future success. With this is mind we spoke to one of the Launchpad finalists The Data Analysis Bureau (T-DAB), a data science and engineering agency specialising in machine learning.

SwimAR, another Launchpad finalist at the Subcon show taking place next week, is a sports technology business with the vision to transform swimming through wearable augmented reality goggles. By having a waterproof heads-up display, swimmers can see real-time, live data such as heart rate, time, laps, distance and average pace. We caught up with SwimAR ahead of the show and competition next week and found about a bit more about them and their journey.
