The M2B camera is the latest addition to the PixeLINK M-Series USB 3.0 CMOS camera kits. It is available now from distributor Scorpion Vision. Designed to provide quality and versatility with a smaller form factor, the camera boasts a number of features including a Sony IMX174 sensor, superb resolution at 1920 x 1200 and a bit depth of 8 or 12.

Scorpion Vision Ltd today announced the availability of the Scorpion SmartCam3D, a ‘smart camera’ primarily designed for use in industrial automation for manufacturing purposes. The product is based on Sony’s innovative Smart Camera XCI platform, a compact camera/PC unit measuring just 94mm wide by 140mm in length, and runs the popular operating system, Windows XP.

Scorpion Vision Ltd is pleased to announce a major UK industry event for decision makers and engineers in the food production industry. The seminar will be promoting the use of 3D machine vision in food production, where traditional machine vision technologies struggle to cope with the non conformity of the product. Using 3D, food manufacturers can automate where automation was not previously possible.

Scorpion Vision will be demonstrating the new 3D stereo vision system at stand 2417 at the UKs Image Processing and Optical Technology show taking place at the NEC on the 13th and 14th February 2008.

PixeLINK has recently announced the addition of the Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interface to its line of CCD and CMOS industrial digital cameras. The increased bandwidth of GigE at 1000 Mbps will allow for large uncompressed images to be transferred in real time over standard Cat5E network cables up to 100 meters long.
