Advanced semiconductor solutions provider, Renesas Electronics Corporation, has announced that GE Healthcare Japan's Hino Factory performed a proving test using Renesas’ ‘AI unit solution’. The AI unit solution is one of Renesas’ e-AI (embedded artificial intelligence) solutions for manufacturing equipment that makes it possible to adopt AI in endpoint embedded equipment. 

At the SPS Drives show in Nuremberg which took place last month, Renesas Electronics announced the availability of the new RZ/N1 microprocessor (MPU) Solution Kit designed to support various industrial network applications including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), intelligent network switches, gateways, operator terminals and remote I/O solutions.

Renesas Electronics Europe and TMG TE has announced the PROFIBUS slave stack availability for the R-IN Family. The two companies have expanded their partnership to provide system solutions for Renesas’ R-IN32M3 series of industrial Ethernet communication Application Specific Standard Products (ASSPs) and RZ/T1 group of MPUs. In addition to the extensive set of industrial Ethernet protocols, an optimised PROFIBUS slave implementation is now available.

In a recent video made with the CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA), Renesas Electronics Corporation demonstrated the importance of CC-Link and CC-Link IE to the future of their industrial automation business. Renesas recently introduced the R-IN32M3 Series Industrial Network Controller. The R-IN32M3 is designed to support multiple protocols including CC-Link and CC-Link IE. It is a building block for creating command and control networks, such as those used for communications and data transfer in industrial automation systems.

Renesas has introduced the RX23T Group of MCUs, designed for building inverter control systems to enable precise control of inverter circuits, for applications such as DC motor control in energy-efficient electric home appliances, industrial machinery, and office equipment. MCU functions are optimised for inverter drive control, including an on-chip FPU that reduces code size and development time by 30%.
