Digital flame sensor boosts detection distances
The Sensor + Test exhibition in Nuremberg provided the platform for Pyreos to unveil its ezPyro TO flame sensor with a digital interface. It offers longer distance detection and an impressive field of vision exemplified by CEO Andrew Wallace using a lighter flame virtually sideways on from a distance of six feet and still drawing a response from the sensor.

"World's smallest" pyro-electric sensor features digital interface
ezPyro is claimed to be the world’s smallest pyro-electric sensor with a digital interface by Pyreos. It was launched at at the SENSOR+TEST exhibition in Nuremburg. The ezPyro has a broad range of applications, including in the detection of flames, gases, movements and gestures, opening up a whole variety of uses, including the $25bn (£18bn, €22bn) wearable technology market.
