Printed Motor Works (PMW)

  Expanding and upgrading, the Printed Motor Works’ range of internal rotor, brushless DC motors, now offer improved performance. The compact IR range now contains larger bearings for driving heavier loads and improved sealing performance to IP68.

Winches mounted on military and other vehicles have traditionally used brushed motors that are heavy and inefficient, and typically unable to operate continuously for more than a few minutes before overheating.

Traditionally, passenger lift doors are actuated using a cylindrical motor connected to a belt and pulley system via a 90 degree bevel gearbox. However, the new XR15-03E low profile motor from Printed Motor Works is slender enough to be positioned parallel to the door, removing the need for a gearbox.
