The surface roughness of the housing is less than 0.8µm, minimizing the risk of microbial contamination. The outer skin is hermetically sealed and free from gaps. The sensor can withstand steam jet treatment and aggressive cleaning agents. It features IP68/IP69K degrees of protection and ECOLAB certification. No cleaning processes need to be changed when the sensor is installed in existing systems.

Pepperl+Fuchs is setting a new and innovative standard for AS-Interface IP20 modules in the form of an easily accessible push-in connection at the front of the device. The crimped wire ends can be inserted directly into the push-in terminals. The entire wiring harness is guided downward, meaning there is no need for the upper cable ridge/cable duct. This not only provides a sophisticated solution for the switch cabinet wiring, but also saves on space and ensures clarity. In switch boxes, modules featuring this connection can be mounted flush on the upper edge of a switch box, without impairing the installation. The transparent hinged cover, which can be snapped into place at multiple points, ensures a clear view through to the digit display at all times and enables the terminal functions to be color-coded internally. The terminals can be removed individually and are coded to prevent them from being mixed up, meaning devices can be replaced without any problems.

Taking full advantage of Pepperl+Fuchs' powerful Pulse Ranging Technology (PRT), the R2000 Detection scanner is the ideal solution for demanding field monitoring applications and assistance systems. Empty bay detection and gap recognition are as easily accomplished as the detection of overhanging and interfering products in high-speed AS/RS applications. Assistance systems for collision avoidance in both automatic guided vehicles or manually controlled forklifts and tuggers are another class of applications where the PRT-enabled R2000 Detection offers outstanding features and performance.

Pepperl+Fuchs introduces the R2000 Detection Laser Scanner. Smaller than most coffee mugs, these 2D laser scanners feature a 360-degree gapless measurement angle with angular resolution within 0.071 degrees, scan frequency to 30 Hz and object detection down to 1 mm. An eye-safe visible red laser simplifies alignment and, because the light spot is up to 15 times smaller than competitive technology, it enables precise detection of very small objects or reflectors. R2000 Detection Scanners can also detect objects up to 10 m away and reflectors up to 30 m away, with measurement repeatability that is always within 12 mm of true distance value. A 360 degree LED display provides quick visual status indication.

Pepperl+Fuchs introduces the new compact F190 UHF Read/Write Head. The F190 features a robust sealed metal housing and a compact footprint for reliable operation in adverse environmental conditions and simple installation even in tight spaces. Because several products in a container can be detected at the same time using multi-tag reading, the F190 simultaneously simplifies processes and reduces processing time. The F190 easily integrates into existing IDENTControl systems, enabling users to connect to standard protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, TCP/IP and EtherCAT. Three reader versions are available to cover worldwide operation.

A range of purge solutions, the Bebco EPS line from Pepperl+Fuchs, has been expanded with the introduction of the 5500 system. The Type Z / Ex pz purge system delivers a fully automatic solution in a compact, 316L stainless steel design. Combined with global certifications, menu-driven programming, and automatic leakage / temperature compensation, the 5500 is the all-in-one solution for Div. 2 / Zone 2 applications. 

A compact cold store scanner has been introduced by Pepperl+Fuchs, addressing the difficult ambient conditions which exist during the processing, transportation, and identification of products. The VB14N-T scanner operates at temperatures from -35°C to +45°C and, with a scan rate of up to 1000 scans/s and resolutions of 0.2 mm, delivers the same performance as the VB14N type counterpart for standard temperatures.

A vision sensor, featuring a polarisation filter for reading high-gloss materials and a PROFINET connection, has been launched by Pepperl+Fuchs. The OPC120 Series code readers offers stationary readers for detecting and decoding 1-D and 2-D codes, such as barcodes and Data Matrix codes. The housing may only be 70 x 70 x 54mm, but the device contains a CMOS imager, an LED flash, and a control interface.

Singleturn absolute rotary encoders from Pepperl+Fuchs are based on two-axis Hall sensors. These encoders can be turned into multiturn absolute rotary encoders through the addition of a Wiegand sensor.

The new signal conditioner KFU8-VCR-1 from Pepperl+Fuchs combines a universal power supply for 2- and 3-wire transmitters with signal converter functionality. Multiple outputs offer active and passive current sources and one voltage output, allowing a flexible adaptation of the field signal to the control system.
