SPIE Photonics West 2017 will see Micronor and Optocon AG debuting as they have collaborated to create the FOTEMP1-OEM-MNT; a low cost, small form factor, single channel signal conditioner that seamlessly integrates Fibre Optic Temperature Sensing into any industrial control system, medical instrumentation or other OEM design.

With its simplistic design and interfaces, the MR380-0 OEM Controller from Micronor provides a low cost, turn-key solution for OEM manufacturers and control system providers integrating any of the Micronor MR38X series ZapFREE Fiber Optic Signaling Sensors into their product. The sensor range includes Emergency Stop, E-Actuator, U-Beam, Key Switch, Push Button, Foot Switch and Microswitch sensors.

MICRONOR introduces the world’s first commercially-available MRI Safe linear position sensor system for OEM motion control applications.  With 100µm resolution and 50µm accuracy, MR303 Linear Sensor is the ideal solution for medical, MRI, robotic and industrial applications where position and speed must be precisely monitored, and electromagnetic immunity and invisibility is required. The sensor works in conjunction with the MR302-2 OEM Controller which enables the sensor to integrate with conventional PLC controllers and servo drives.

MICRONOR introduces two new inherently safe, fiber optic signaling products for the industrial automation, robotic and medical markets. The MR380 series Fiber Optic Emergency Stop offers ESTOP Functional Safety compliance with SIL1 rating.  The MR382 series Fiber Optic U-Beam Sensor is a general purpose photo interruption/slot sensor.  The products consist of a passive optical Sensor which connects to a DIN rail mount Controller Module via an industry standard OM1 duplex 62.5/125 multimode fiber optic link.  The products can operate over distances up to 2500 meters (8200 feet).

Micronor’s MR318 fiber optic rotary encoder is designed specifically for use as feedback in motion control systems operating in extreme electromagnetic fields. The sensor's passive optical design and non-metallic construction has no affect on MRI or NMR system operation or measurements. The multiturn encoder system offers 360ppr (1°) resolution and measures both angular position and shaft speed. MRI-related applications include feedback for actuator or motor control, monitoring patient position or correlating foot pedal position for fMRI diagnostics.

Micronor’s MR190 Universal Manual Pulse Generator/Handwheel (MPG) is the world’s first MPG to offer both A/A’/B/B’ differential line driver and A/B pull-up quadrature outputs in a single unit.
