Due to its continued strong growth, Magnetrol International NV is expanding its production and office facilities in Zele (Belgium) by more than 5.000 sq meters. Completion of the building is foreseen for May 2014.

Thermatel TD1/TD2 switches are based on thermal dispersion technology. The devices can easily be adjusted to detect flow (gases and liquids), level or liquid-liquid interface. Released in 1998, The Magnetrol International NV Eclipse® Model 705 was the first two wire guided wave radar (GWR) on the market. Thirteen years later, this high quality GWR device is still fluently finding its way to highly critical applications.

The new Model R82, 26 GHz Two-wire non contact Radar Transmitter from Magnetrol is a high performance, yet low-cost level transmitter based on the concept of Pulse Burst Radar. Short bursts of 26GHz microwave energy are emitted and subsequently reflected from the liquid level surface. Liquid level is then calculated by applying the user's tank height and sensor Offset values.

The modernized, digital E3 Modulevel from Magnetrol is an advanced, intrinsically safe two-wire instrument utilizing simple buoyancy principle to detect and convert liquid level changes into a stable output signal. The new E3 Modulevel has modernized packaging, increased functionality, diagnostics, and the capability to configure rather than calibrate the transmitter. The E3 Modulevel supports FOUNDATION fieldbusTM, HART, AMS, FDT/PACTware communication protocols.

It has been 10 years since Magnetrol released the Eclipse Model 705, the first 2-Wire Guided Wave Radar (GWR) level transmitter that measured liquid level, independent of liquid characteristics. No need for calibration, a broad application coverage, ease of configuration and commissioning, integration without piping changes, and enhanced reliability are a few of the reasons for its rapid acceptance in the very conservative oil and gas industries.

The fastest and most efficient way to upgrade a magnetic level indicator is to clamp a Jupiter 200 magnetostrictive level transmitter onto its by-pass cage. The installation can be performed under process conditions and without any modification of the installed equipment.

The hygienic Thermatel® TD2 switches from Magnetrol International offer level, flow and interface capability in one single device. By setting up the switch differently, the unit can detect level in highly viscous liquids, detect variable or flow/no flow conditions of liquids - gases or detect one liquid layer over another (interface).

Magnetrol’s newest PACTwareTM DTM is designed for use with the Eclipse Model 705 with FOUNDATION fieldbusTM communication. Through Magnetrol’s introduction of the free PACTware in 2007, many Eclipse 705 users have discovered its advantages. The actual HART® DTM’s are all certified and tested for full compatibility through dtmINSPECTOR, which is the official test protocol that verifies the compatibility of DTM’s with all FDT related technology.
