Wakefield Waste-To-Energy Plant Opts For High Integrity Lipp Spiral Seam Tanks For Liquid Storage And Anaerobic Digesters
Lipp Systems UK has recently installed six new spiral seam tanks at a new bio-energy plant development in Wakefield, Yorkshire. These include three large 1,340m2 capacity anaerobic digestion tanks, an aeration tank, a buffer tank and finally a water processing tank. Chosen for unrivalled reliability, ease of construction and maximum safety – the new containers aim to produce enough biogas to power 3000 local homes. As a by-product the system will also create soil conditioner for agricultural use.

Spiral seemed tanks to be supplied for PFI facility
Lipp Systems has been chosen to supply its leak-proof double-fold seamed tanking system for a major residual waste treatment and recycling facility currently under construction in Wakefield. Six individual tanks are being supplied to the project, which is being led by Shanks Waste Management Ltd and delivered by a Joint Venture (RRIJV), including Spanish environmental technology firm Ros Roca and UK engineering company Imtech Water, Waste & Energy.
