Larox Flowsys, the worldwide supplier of flow control and pumping solutions has decided to change its name to Flowrox. The visual look and feel has also been renewed. The new name and outlook will be taken into use gradually by January 1st, 2012.

NRG Big Cajun Power Plant in Ventress, Louisiana, USA, has bought DN 300 Larox wafer knife gate valves to its fly ash application. Big Cajun II comprises three coal-fueled steam units, which generate 1,700 megawatts of baseload or load-following generating capacity.

The LPP pump series of Larox Flowsys Oy incorporates a unique operation principle, which brings along several environmental benefits, such as low energy consumption, long lasting hoses and low waste generation. These environmental benefits also bring considerable cost savings during the life-cycle of the pump.

Larox Flowsys has introduced a new valve to supplement its pinch valve and knife gate valve families. Larox Rotary Disc Valve is unique due to its rotating disc that is designed specifically for heavy scaling, abrasive and corrosive slurries.

Due to customers requests, Larox Flowsys introduces a basic version of its LPP-M pump in addition to the current smart version. Whereas the current version contains multiple automatic input/output control and alarm modes the new basic version will have only single manual output control mode. The technical features such as the flow rate, pressure and suction lift remain the same, but programmabilities such as remote adjustment and different feedback signals are left out from the basic model.

Larox Flowsys has launched a new series of valves to supplement the pinch valve family. Larox Heavy Duty Knife Gate Valves are engineered to be used in tough environments with demanding media in the same industrial applications as company's well known pinch valves.
