Haydale Ltd

A contract extension has been awarded to Haydale Composite Solutions (HCS) by UK utility company National Grid to develop 14 different lightweight composite Gas Transition Piece (GTP) solutions for seven different pipeline diameters from 300-1050mm. Each size has a variant for use on sites where access to the pipe is restricted by space constraints.

A presentation that describes the development of roll-to-roll gravure printing of biosensors based upon electrically conductive graphene structures and adherence proteins has been described by Haydale. The described development was a result of a project undertaken by a consortium of organisations** lead by the Frauhofer Institut fur Biomedizinische Technik (IBMT) and involving Haydale in the development of biocompatible and electrically conductive graphene ink suited for gravure printing.

Haydale Composite Solutions has announced the launch of three graphene enhanced carbon fibre pre-impregnated (prepreg) products in collaboration with SHD Composite Materials Ltd using epoxy resins from Huntsman Advanced Materials.

Haydale Composite Solutions Ltd  has commissioned a composite pipe testing facility with the support of Leicester City Council, Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP)**, the Regional Growth Fund and European Regional Development Fund.

Haydale has announced that it has recently been awarded a number of research grants, totalling over £450,000. The projects relating to each grant are expected to run for a period of between 18 to 24 months. 

Haydale has announced that its composites division, Haydale Composite Solutions Ltd, has signed a letter of intent to start a joint development and commercialisation agreement with Huntsman Advanced Materials GmbH.

Haydale Composite Solutions Ltd has entered into a collaborative 18 month research project awarded and managed by the National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (NATEP).
