COPA-DATA is releasing a new version of its HMI/SCADA solution, zenon 7.20, which is fully consistent with the principle of the Smart Factory: the software allows users to carry out targeted analyses and Big Data evaluations and provides all relevant information at any time and everywhere. In addition, companies can set up a cost-effective and scalable cloud solution based on zenon and Microsoft technologies.

Plant management professionals are set to receive a productivity boost because Austrian software company COPA-DATA has released a bespoke catalogue creator on its website. The new tool allows users to generate and customise catalogues from a pre-existing list of pages about the company’s industrial automation software package, zenon.

A new version of zenon Analyzer, a reporting and analysis software supports production engineers in identifying potential for improvement, minimising downtime and reducing energy consumption. The developers COPA-DATA says that zenon Analyzer 2.20 offers enhanced evaluation possibilities thanks to the connection to third-party databases, comprehensive presentation and display possibilities, as well as improvements in usability.

Industry standards can be a bit like noodles – messy and not very easy to swallow. To decipher the underlying protocols of the energy sector, industrial automation software expert COPA-DATA, is organising a one-day workshop on IEC 61850 on October 30 at Hampton Manor in Solihull.

The new 6.22 release has fully configurable alarm manager that allows a user to have customised alarm display themes that improve readability and to make the alarm pages comply with given colour usage by an end user or a manufacturer. This has further enhanced by the use of a “traffic light” scheme against each alarm that can also be configured to meet with localised use of colour.
