Seal manufacturer C. Otto Gehrckens (COG) has presented a product range in the premium segment: the three high-performance materials in the VarioPur series are based on thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU/AU) and impress with excellent properties and are belonging to the best-case-compounds in the TPU class.

  The elastomer seals which are used in valves, pipelines, fittings or pig traps have to face exceptionally high requirements. Especially a sudden decrease in pressure is a major challenge for manufacturer and a great responsibility for engineers and operators in these applications.

The requirements in all sectors and applications are continuously becoming more complex. Not only must seals be resistant to temperature, they must also be able to withstand a wide variety of chemicals and be resistant not only to vapour, but also to solvents. Or sometimes they need to be able to resist changes in media, plus high pressure. In these situations, a high quality perfluorelastomer (FFKM) seal really is a must.
