When high-tech logistics company, LCE UK Ltd, was faced with the problem of moving a large cyclotron through a narrow entrance and into a small room at the Royal Preston Hospital in Lancashire, British Turntable’s industrial division provided the solution by supplying a manual bearing that would turn the equipment on its own axis to the right orientation for installation. Used in conjunction with a set of Jung jacks, the bearing made light work of turning the 22 tonne machine.

When the revolving stage in The Library Theatre, Manchester was damaged in a fire, British Turntable's Industrial Division came to the rescue, supplying a new, low profile deck, refurbishing the rope drive winch and adding stage extensions, all to stringent specifications to match and complement the existing core structure.

British Turntable’s industrial division has helped Jeff Laidlaw Transport make light work of delivering and lowering a 4.5 tonne turbine into a 3m deep pit at a test facility in Oxfordshire by supplying a set of four Jung hydraulic jacks. The new low profile JH 5 G jacks were recommended by British Turntable because of their particularly low profile, and they proved ideal for the job.

When Wiggin Alloys first installed a Hovair air film system in 1983 to move a forge press tool train under a 1,750 tonne forging press, little did the company know that, in partnership with Hovair, now part of the industrial division of British Turntable Co Ltd, the company would still be using the same air film system in their manufacturing process 25 years later. In the hot and dirty environment of the forging plant, the Hovair air skates have withstood the test of time.
