Immediate availability of validation test results has been announced for Sensata Technologies' enhanced BEI Kimco Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor DII15-60-201A in a completed validation test report. As substantiated by the testing, the motor can operate reliably under the harsh conditions of oil and gas exploration applications. The validation test report will be available to attendees at the upcoming Offshore Technology Conference, booth 4519, 1st-4th May 2017 at NRG Park in Houston, Texas, where the new motor will be showcased.

To increase high alignment accuracy by preventing unwanted shaft rotation, BEI Kimco, a brand of Sensata Technologies, has introduced a new moving magnet Voice Coil Actuator (VCA) with a flexure design.

Elastography is a painless and non-invasive medical imaging technique that measures the elasticity of tissue to provide diagnostic information about the presence or status of disease. These waves can then be measured to assess - for example, liver tissue elasticity - aiding in the diagnosis of various stages of liver fibrosis. This method of mechanical vibration has proven particularly more effective in evaluating tissue stiffness of obese patients over other ultrasound elastography technologies.

The Turbomolecular pump is widely used in the semiconductor device manufacturing process, which requires highly compressed gases for chemical deposition and implantation. The pump design incorporates the specially designed BEI motor driven turbine rotor, which is capable of operating speeds of up to 70,000 rpm. The extremely high speeds are essential to achieve vacuum pressures down to one micropascal.
