Assystem has announced that Fanny Fouin, Senior Mechanical Engineer has been appointed as the first ever female to Chair the Nuclear Institute’s North East branch. Fouin, based at Assystem’s offices in Sunderland will use her new role to engage with local nuclear engineering companies, and ensuring they build a strong nuclear local network in the UK’s North East region.

Assystem has launched its #INCREDIBLENGINEERS campaign to fill up to 400 jobs in the UK nuclear sector. The company, that employs over 5,000 people in 14 countries, has one of the most ambitious HR policies in the engineering world and is looking to attract new talent to the business to support their growth in the UK. 

Assystem, the world’s third largest nuclear engineering group, showcased the best of what a career in engineering has to offer to a group of students and their families yesterday. As part of this year’s IET Open Day, Assystem was alongside Sellafield Ltd in opening its doors to give young people and their parents an exclusive insight into the important work done by engineers. 

Assystem has moved its UK headquarters into new premises in Blackburn. The company, which holds key contracts in nuclear new build, defence and nuclear decommissioning in the UK, has relocated to Innovation Park, Blackburn. The move aligns with the business’s growth ambitions, that are focused supporting the increasing demand for digital maintenance products, as well as supporting the development of nuclear new build in the UK.

Creating new communication requirements between machines (machine to x) and IT infrastructure is the continuous innovation and data-driven business models in Industry 4.0. To ensure interoperability and communication, Assystem Technologies has initiated a one-of-a-kind standardisation project, providing a ‘Reference Model for Industrial Cloud Federation’.
