The liquid filtration systems manufacturer, Amazon Filters, has reported on the supply of significant quantities of SupaPore TPB PTFE membrane filters to a major pharmaceutical company for off gas filtration of their large scale fermenters.

A new 2.5” and 5” range of SupaPore Junior cartridge filters have been introduced by Amazon Filters for processes where a compact filter system would be advantageous. These new cartridge filters are suitable for low flow (up to 2m3/Hr of fluids and 100Nm3/Hr of gas) processes including a wide range of pharmaceutical, beverage, coatings and industrial gas applications where available space is at a premium.

A global oil and gas corporation has put together a trial report in which Amazon SupaPleat FFC Filter was evaluated against the existing supplied filter. Operating a Water Maker system utilising Reverse Osmosis, this offshore site, has existing pre-filters protecting the RO membranes, however these achieved unacceptable short filter operational runs of two to five days.
