Advantech has announced the launch of its high-end SOM-5899 series COM Express Type 6 Module designed with 8th and 9th Gen Intel Core H-series processors. Compared with previous generations, the SOM-5899 is enhanced with six cores for better multithreaded performance in compute-intensive applications.

A high performance controller which delivers connectivity and extensibility has been introduced by Advantech, the latest EN50155 certified box PC ARS-2620. ARS-2620 is powered by an Intel 6th Generation i7-6600U processor, delivering excellent performance for intelligent railway applications. ARS-2620 features 4 x PoE (Power over Ethernet) LAN ports to provide both data connections and electrical power.
