Energy Chain expert igus has extended its energy chain and flexible cables test lab extensively, such that it now covers more than 1000 square metres. Here a wide range of tests is carried out on standard products, as well as special custom parts, using more than 70 dedicated test stations.

igus performs more than 3,000 tests a year on its Energy Chain range. The result of all this testing is a wealth of data to give designers a better understanding of product service life and properties under a wide variety of conditions.

Test equipment available, ranges from climate control cabinets, freezer containers and low-reflection sound measuring chambers to six-axis robots and other torsion machines. There is also an outdoor testing facility for especially long Energy Chain travels.
