The intelligent conveyor chain for pick and place solutions

The igus pickchain is a new concept of conveyor chain. It has ‘intelligent’ links that can have actuators such as suction cups, grippers, tools, sensors and cameras attached to them which can be individually programmed. The pickchain integrates cable and hose supplies which give the necessary energy and data for the intelligence.

The current pick and place robots that are in production use linear motions, going back and forth, picking and placing. The igus pickchain allows a continuous motion with no wasted movements to return to a start position. This means that output can be increased by at least 30%.

The pickchain is ideal for use in packaging machines, feeders for machines, pick and place robot manufactures and many more.
