Parker TriGas boosts profitability by eliminating gas cylinders

The Process Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin has launched an integrated LC/MS gas generation system, developed to increase user profitability by eliminating the need for costly and inconvenient gas cylinders. The visually integrated and functionally modular SOURCE-LCMS-5000 produces high purity nitrogen, zero air and exhaust pump gases for all Applied Biosystems – MDS Sciex LC/MS/MS instruments.

The Parker gas generation system uses a combination of a compressor with filtration, catalysts and membrane separation technologies. An integrated low-maintenance compressed air supply is filtered by high efficiency coalescing filters, removing all contaminants down to 0.01 micron. Hollow fibre membranes subsequently divide the clean air into a concentrated nitrogen stream, while the zero air is produced by catalytic oxidation which converts the hydrocarbons. A passive hollow-fibre dehydration membrane is used to create the exhaust pump gas.

The integrated Scroll compressor is ‘whisper’ quiet at only 48dBA and is supplied as standard with a 10,000 hour / three year warranty; the best compressor warranty currently available on the market.

The Process Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin offers a broad range of analytical gas generators to meet your specific analytical instrument requirements. All products are backed by a fully staffed field sales and service organisation.
