Chronos Richardson recently received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme that recognises very high standards of health and safety amongst UK based contractors.
Providing weighers for packing powdery and granular materials and Chronos Richardson also offers a diverse range of bagging placing, filling and palletising systems. The company’s application for SAFEcontractor accreditation was driven by the need to further enhance its established network of installation, commissioning and service engineers.
“Obviously we are delighted that our operation in the UK has been accredited by SAFEcontractor”, commented General Manager Peter Orme. He concluded, “We expect that SAFEcontractor accreditation will enhance our ability to attract new projects and also reassure existing customers about our commitment to safety.”
SAFEcontractor is operated by international safety, health and environmental risk management specialists, The National Britannia Group. The system is applicable to most sectors although it is particularly relevant to food manufacture, property, facilities management, retail and leisure sectors.
Darran Hughes, Operations Director for SAFEcontractor at National Britannia said, “Major organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies”. He concluded, “More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Chronos Richardson has done. The company’s high standard has set an example, which hopefully will be followed by other companies from within their sector”.
Chronos Richardson Limited is a Business Unit of Premier Tech.
