Thermal Energy appoints new Sales & Marketing Director for GEM Ltd

Peter will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of GEM’s UK and European sales, marketing and business development activities. This includes expanding the market presence and growth of the GEMÒ venture orifice steam trap products throughout Europe and leveraging cross selling of Thermal Energy’s FLU-ACEÒ waste heat recovery and DRY-REXÒ low temperature biomass drying solutions in the European market through the GEM sales team.

A well-respected industry expert, Peter Bennett possesses a wealth of technical and sales experience related to the development and deployment of efficient energy production systems and solutions to industrial, institutional and commercial clients.

Among his achievements, Peter was UK National Sales Manager for Spirax Sarco, one of the world’s largest steam system companies where he managed a 64-person team through some of that Company’s best growth years. Most recently, he developed the UK sales organisation for ARI Armaturen where he established a strong presence in the UK market, growing sales to a significant level over a three-year period.

Peter is a fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management. He is also qualified as a Marine Chief Engineer (Class 1) and holds the South Atlantic Medal for service with the British Forces in the Falklands Islands conflict.
