He has received the 1906 Award from the IEC, which is given to those industry experts who have made an exceptional contribution to the development of a specific project.
Arun sits on IEC Technical Committee No 85, which is involved in measuring equipment for electrical and electromagnetic quantities.
He was nominated by fellow officers of the IEC TC 85 and was commended for his input in furthering the standardisation and related activities in the field of electro technology.
Geoff Young, President of British Electrotechnical Committee said: “This Award has been presented to Arun Sehdev in recognition of his work on the IEC 61557 series of standards through IEC Technical Committee No 85.
“He has been involved in regulatory and standards development for many years and this recognises his significant contributions to the industry.”
The IEC 1906 Award was established to commemorate the founding of the IEC and to honour those technical experts who have made an exceptional contribution to the work of the IEC.
