Record Month For Hepcomotion® Sales

In common with many other companies HepcoMotion® has needed to take some hard decisions on workforce numbers in the last year but this has enabled the company to consolidate its position. It has continued to invest in its apprenticeship scheme and to implement its lean manufacturing programme, improving lead times and increasing production flexibility.

Research and development has also been an ongoing priority, evidence of which has recently been seen in the introduction of the HepcoMotion® precision ring track system, PRT2. Other new introductions are also in the pipeline.

“Thanks to our dedicated sales team, sales have been steadily increasing this year but the July trading figures have really brought a smile to our faces,” explained Managing Director, Ray Hall. “They exceeded our target by 14% and have set the record for the highest order intake in our 41-year history. That is testament to the hard work of everyone involved within HepcoMotion® and supports our decision to continue with our proactive sales and marketing investments during the lean months of 2009.”

HepcoMotion® is already employing additional contract workers at its factory in Tiverton to boost productivity in line with increasing demand. And the company is anticipating that in the coming months it will again be recruiting for more skilled production staff.
