It has been announced that a new partnership deal has been agreed between EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation and Broadstone. The move will see Broadstone providing pensions support - including advice, guidance, implementation and management services - to EEF members. It will be named as an official EEF Advantages partner – joining EEF’s scheme of third party providers carefully selected to help its members save money and grow their businesses.

The company will be responsible for supporting EEF members with their queries relating to any type of pension scheme, including contract based, master trust, defined contribution and defined benefit.

Members will be able to enjoy up to 30 minutes free guidance sessions on their topical or legislative pensions issues. They will also benefit from a dedicated contact channel with a commitment to respond to queries within 48 hours.

In addition to this core service, Broadstone will also be able to provide specific advice and services as required, such as scheme sourcing, market review, governance and audit and regulatory compliance, at beneficial rates to EEF members.

With offices in London, Sheffield and Falkirk, Broadstone offers UK-wide coverage. Its services will strengthen the depth and breadth of support available through the Advantages programme.

The company has previously worked with EEF on joint pension’s seminars and providing expert web content.

Richard Halstead, Interim National Membership Engagement Director at EEF, said:“Our role is to support and protect UK manufacturers, enabling them to thrive and grow. Our Advantages scheme underpins this, bringing together a range of offers and services tailored to help our member companies achieve their business ambitions.”

Halstead added: “We are delighted to be adding Broadstone to our established and valued stable of Advantages partners. It is a great fit, bringing specialist knowledge and expertise that will make a real difference to our members, helping them make the right pension arrangements and ensuring they have solid information and advice to remain fully compliant with current legislation.”

Grant Stobart, Chief Executive of Broadstone, said: “The collaboration between Broadstone and EEF is an important partnership. I firmly believe that we will provide a quality service giving EEF members access to our expertise, helping them to navigate their way through the ever changing pensions landscape, whilst enhancing our growing reputation within the pensions arena.”

EEF has been running its Advantages programme since 2007. The programme spans employee benefits, energy services, insurance, research and development tax credits and recruitment.
