New online portal provides product configuration

A full version product configuration and project management tool has been released by NORD Drivesystems as the myNORD Customer Portal, which is for UK customers and includes pricing, order processing and multiple user access. NORD DRIVESYSTEMS´ myNORD Customer Portal is now fully available to UK users online, and for non-registered customers, the portal allows use of the NORD Product Configurator - the comprehensive product sizing and configuration tool for geared motors, motors and drive electronics.

The full version of MyNORD builds upon this impressive resource with a simple registration and login process that brings many additional benefits including product configuration saving, product pricing and quotations, ordering and order/shipping status, maintenance and servicing support, plus the ability to work in groups on team-shared projects.

The myNORD Customer Portal has been extensively trialled in Germany over the past few years and is now being rolled out in many other countries. The web-interfaced Product Configurator allows smartphone or desktop users round-the-clock access for sizing and selection across NORD´s comprehensive range of drive mechanics, electric motors and drive electronics.

Intuitive screens present users with relevant product features available that are based on input specification parameters. Options and features that are not available within a product range are greyed-out and Tool-tips, Call-outs and illustrations help to make selection straightforward. On completion of product configuration, CAD file download is available in a wide choice of formats. Guest users may request a quotation whereas fully registered can immediately retrieve quotations with their agreed purchase pricing - with the added benefit of configuration saving for future use. This level of registered use also allows multiple access for work colleagues in shared projects.

The myNORD portal can be used to build complete project history with full search, selection and retrieval of previously recorded configuration information. For fully registered customers, purchase orders related to configured products can be immediately placed with order status and delivery tracking available within a few key strokes.

Direct access to NORD´s comprehensive Document Centre is also provided which is linked to the specific order number or product serial number found on the nameplate or order confirmation. This includes operating and maintenance instructions and spare parts lists. The portal also provides a convenient resource area for maintenance and service. A technical service menu directs the user to product training and aftersales services such as repairs, spare parts and 24 /7 emergency contact details.
