In recognising Midland Slurry Systems for achieving its twentieth consecutive year of substantial increased sales of Landia pumps and mixers, Paul Davies (Landia’s UK & Eire Agricultural Manager), commented:
“We work in very close consultation with Midlands Slurry Systems, helping design in the optimum pump and mixer combination for use with sand slurry separators. Sand has become a very effective bedding material for cattle, but as some have found to their cost, it can prove very problematical if it isn’t processed correctly”.
He added: “Landia are proud to be associated with a company that also strives towards finding the best possible economic and environmental solution for its customers. We work together to deliver low maintenance, long term installations that represent excellent value for money”.
Unlike sand recovered from settlement tanks, the washed material from Midland Slurry Systems’ process can be reused. This separation and washing process recovers most of the sand, utilising Landia’s POP Mixers, DG submersible chopper and the long shafted range of Pumps to keep the sand and slurry as a homogenous mix until it is ready to be diluted for the sand to fall out.
