Adept Scientific (Letchworth, Herts) and Knovel (New York, USA) have announced the addition of a new subject area to www.knovel.com – the online technical resource for applied scientists and practicing engineers.
Sustainable Energy and Development has been created to meet the demands of Knovel customers for additional Knovel content to support their work in areas including:

• Renewable energy
• Energy efficiency
• Sustainable agriculture
• Sustainable industrial development
• Sustainable urban development
• Water resources and conservation.

At the launch of Sustainable Energy and Development there will initially be 90 titles with 120 planned by spring 2009.

“With the news focussing so much on energy and renewable sources, this is an exciting addition to the Knovel library,” Paul Bragg, Managing Director Adept Scientific, commented.

“More than half of the titles included have been added specifically for the new subject area and 12 of them will have Interactive Tools.”
