Hurco Took 18 Orders Valued At £1.4 Million
A record number of people visited Hurco's 250 square metre stand at MACH 2012, the company's largest to date. Contacts were logged from 549 companies, an increase of 24 per cent over MACH 2010. It continues a trend of visitor growth of more than 20 per cent per show since 2002 and is in line with Hurco's growth in turnover and customer base over the past decade.
Nine representative machines from the company's vertical machining centre and CNC lathe programmes were exhibited, plus a 5-axis, high-speed machining centre from Roeders, Germany, for which Hurco acts as sole agent in the UK and Ireland. All 10 machines were under power and cutting metal.

Managing director David Waghorn commented, Most visitors to the stand were company bosses and decision makers, although there were a number of machine operators eager to see the latest features of our WinMax software.

The main theme this year was to show how much Hurco's machine tool range has expanded in a relatively short time.

During the show and the following week, we booked 18 orders totalling £1.4 million – 17 Hurcos and a Roeders. In fact, all of the machines exhibited are now sold.
