Fraser Cleaning Technologies – A specialist Independent advice centre for Forty Years
Placed in the Houstoun Industrial Estate of Livingston, Fraser Cleaning Technologies stands as an example of a family business that thrived in a challenging environment to become a prominent figure in the field of Component Cleaning.
In a Management Buy Out in 1996, Graham Fraser took the reins and the Company moved from Sole Trader status to a Limited Company. The modern Fraser Cleaning Technologies had been born and David Fraser, who had begun the business had a deep sense of pride and confidence in all his Son would achieve.

In what was to become a trademark characteristic, Graham Fraser revealed his effective communication skills by using his practical knowledge and the feedback of the people at the “coal face”, in making his judgement.

In the face of increasing pressures and reduced time to deal with daily issues, one common voice prevailed.

The tradition for Companies who relied on a process for Component Cleaning was that it was necessary to see Chemical sales and Equipment sales separately. This was becoming problematic, time consuming and often led to disputes when problems arose. Additionally, where choosing a Chemical was needed, it often led to seeing numerous Companies who each claimed their single choice was the answer, but who seemed uncertain about predicting the impact of legislation.

With a clear focus the objectives of Fraser Cleaning Technologies was set. Just as it had been in 1968, the principles were laid to meet the future needs of Industry. It was deemed vital that a number of steps must be pursued.

Reflecting on the good progress of Fraser Cleaning Technologies Graham Fraser said “We are delighted to represent our Industry in providing good advice that is balanced to meet an individual need. Our greatest asset is our team and our wide variety of product choices, since they reflect our genuine desire to solve problems. We take a sensible approach to Business. In spite of lots of challenges we have held to our principles and done what we are best at. If we are to be judged by customer satisfaction it is heartening that our good reputation has led to our growth. From 2001 when many of our financial commitments eased it has been good to focus on the further development of our staff, our Business and give our attention fully to the needs of our customers”

Launched in 2004, the Institute of Directors Scotland established the Director of the Year Award, to reward the achievements of individuals in the business community.
Recognising the exceptional skills of Graham Fraser, IOD included him in a shortlist of three for the Edinburgh, Lothian’s and Borders Regional Award in 2007. This was a proud recognition of his abilities and approach to Business life.

Today the Company continues to thrive and welcomes customers warmly to its fully dedicated Demonstration Centre to evaluate their personal Component Cleaning needs.
