Since the recession began to bite in the middle of 2008, Adept has taken on an additional three staff within the Technical Support and Internal Sales teams.
First to join us was David Ingham as Technical Support Assistant. He took the plunge with lots of training in his first two days on some of our key products.
David has a degree from the University of Portsmouth in Mathematics for Financial Markets and most recently worked at Vertex Financial Services. He is a keen musician who is currently recording some of his acoustic pieces. Having worked hard at University for four years, David took some time travelling around Australia, Thailand, Cambodia and India but, for the time being, he has packed his rucksack away.
Joe Beaumont followed swiftly on his heels and joined Adept as Technical Support Engineer. Joe is a recent graduate in Multimedia Communications and has been working at Fujitsu and Kodak Practiceworks in technical support. Outside work Joe has formed a Depeche Mode tribute band whose next gig is the Brighton Electrofest at the Brighton Komedia on Saturday 4th April.
Then came James Mayes as Internal Sales Consultant concentrating initially on the Thomson Reuters product range. James has a BA in Business Studies from Southampton and spent the last year working for Wavecrest (a telecommunications company) as a Sales Analyst/Account Manager. Before that he was at Capital Fireplaces in Henlow. He is very active and apart from going to the gym enjoys golfing, snowboarding, tennis, scuba diving, swimming, cycling and 5-aside football.
Paul Bragg, Managing Director, commented: “We firmly believe that supplying technical software and hardware designed to let people perform tasks they were unable to do before, or allow them to speed up old processes by orders of magnitude, is vital in today’s competitive climate. And this has to be backed up with a first-class Technical Support and Sales team. David, Joe and James are valuable and welcome additions to our already strong team bringing with them a range of experience and knowledge.
“We are always interested to hear from dynamic, enthusiastic people who can contribute to our success and we are small enough for them to really make a difference and big enough to offer a great working environment where you can grow with us and have fun doing it!”
